**MLD is not suitable treatment for stage II, or III Lymphedema  which needs to be addressed by a specialized professional. 

***Pitting Lymphedema is an acute medical situation that warrants a trip to the Emergency Room.  

Please keep in mind that lighter pressure is most beneficial in supporting the mother especially in the early stages. Firmer pressure is acceptable, while avoiding certain pressure points, only after the first trimester. Deep pressure should not be tolerated as physically enduring that type of work can disrupt the body's ability to adapt to the production of the baby.

Certain pressure points are avoided until it is time to stimulate contractions.
